Brazil needs High Tech and Europe wants to sell!
At the TECHMEI show, business is booming!

The market in Brazil has changed significantly and become more liberated in the past years. Until 1992, it was practically impossible to position imported machinery on the market, because of drastic measures protecting the interests of the domestic industry. Today, it is precisely these imports that drive the growth and development of the still “young” industrial nation. The market accounts for a total volume of 1.42 billion US dollars*, which makes Brazil the largest and most interesting market in the Southern Hemisphere.

From 0 - 50%. And imports are rising!
Nowadays the proportion of imported goods is at 50% and demand is far from being satisfied. This is one good reason for the TECHMEI show being established. ABIMEI, the Brazilian Association of Importers of Industrial Machinery and Equipment, fully supports the show. With its 80 members, ABIMEI covers approximately 85% of Brazilian imports. Each individual member is responsible for the commercialisation of varying trade names.  Surprising enough, for exhibitors from Europe and other industrial nations, the Brazilians go to exhibitions not so much to look around as to place orders or buy directly. This is due to the outstanding demand currently existing in the automobile, aeronautical and pharmaceutical industries.

Change of location: TECHMEI moves to the Expo Center Norte.

25.000 square metres are booked. The TECHMEI show is expanding – exhibitor interest grows rapidly parallel to Brazilian demand. Book early to reserve the ideal stand for your machinery, systems technology or software in order to generate turnover without delay!
Brazil aims to be an active and innovative major player in the market and therefore seeks the know-how.  High-tech machinery is particularly sought after as this segment in Brazil is not yet well developed.
